What Is Global Warming?

Global warming is the rapid increase in the Earth's surface temperature that has happened unusually quickly over the last hundred years. It's mostly caused by people burning fossil fuels and doing things that release greenhouse gases. These gases, like carbon dioxide, trap heat in the air, warming up the planet. This adds extra greenhouse gases to what's already naturally in the air, making the Earth's warming effect stronger. Global warming leads to several effects, including:

1. Changes in Weather and Environmental Damage:

Global warming leads to climate changes, like more rain in some places causing floods and erosion, while others face longer dry periods due to higher temperatures.

2. A Warming, Rising Oceans:

The ocean takes in a lot of heat from global warming, which melts ice and raises sea levels. This puts coastal and island communities at risk. The ocean also absorbs carbon dioxide, making it more acidic, which harms marine life.

3. Hotter Temperatures:

As the term "global warming" suggests, this phenomenon naturally leads to the Earth's temperature rising due to the factors responsible for causing it.

4. More Health Risks:

Changing weather patterns can spread diseases like malaria, and extreme weather events increase diseases and make it hard for healthcare systems to cope. There's also a greater risk of respiratory diseases because global warming traps harmful gases in the air.

To address global warming, we should take care of the Earth by protecting nature. Here are some things we can do:

- Avoid littering.

- Save energy.

- Use recycled products.

- Plant trees.

- Reduce waste.
